It was recently announced that Diversity VC will be establishing a new advisory board for its assessment and certification process.
Indeed, the advisory board will be made of VC and Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) experts in order to guide companies in promoting and embedding best practices into the industry. By setting the advisor board, it is aiming to increase the diversity within the tech industry through recommendations for policies and practices.
The board will then be 75% female, which is significantly higher than the percentage of women in the tech industry. Hence, this could help women become more represented in the future, especially in managerial positions, as well as get more funding for women-led VCs.
Diversity VC wants to create a culture and environment where people from all backgrounds can thrive and help increase the number of women in tech roles across the board.
