It was recently announced that EE is aiming to provide 5G coverage across the UK by 2028.
Indeed, the phone network has declared that it will try to add 4,500 square miles of new rural 4G coverage by 2025. It stated that in some remote locations, the coverage will be on-demand through portable cells, drones, and satellites. Although, affordability may still be an issue for some remote areas, as the cost for customers in those areas hasn’t been revealed as of yet.
The company reported that its 5G network would grow to cover half of the UK population by early 2023, with the goal to cover the whole UK by 2028. The aim is to make a connection as easy as ordering a cab.
By doing so, this will place EE at the top of the competition.
