It was found out that 79% of IT leaders are ready to pay a premium to vendors if they incorporate sustainability into their business model.
Indeed, a recent study by CloudBolt revealed that 27% would pay 6% to 10% more and 35% between 11% and 15% more for greener models. IT leaders believe that sustainability goals are a top-down mandate and so they are working to achieve their sustainability goals.
Besides, it was reported that 67% of them declared taking a cloud vendor’s sustainability initiatives into consideration when deciding whether to do business with that vendor. 78% believe that their day-to-day activities within the public and private cloud have an impact on the environment and so, they need to significantly reduce the amount of energy required to conduct their business processes.
DevOps professionals are also focusing more on continuous infrastructure testing so as to detect issues before failures occur and optimizing their resources and minimizing energy waste.
Moreover, IT leaders are also focusing a lot on security, cost, and agility.
