New data centres to be built at Huntstown Power Station in Dublin

It was recently reported that Energia Groupe is planning to build two data centers next to the Huntstown Power Station in Dublin, Ireland.

Indeed, the company will be building two data center buildings on 13.3 hectares of land that are currently used for agricultural land. The Power Station provides up to 20% of Ireland’s total energy needs. Hence, the data center would include a 220kV substation, which would be planned separately.

It was outlined that the data centers would be built over a ten-year period. Yet, the council is still awaiting more information on development before granting approval.
