It was recently found out that there is a rise in women being employed in the technology sector in the UK.
Indeed, a study by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) revealed that technology was the third top sector in terms of job creation for women. It is then the third-fastest sector for job growth in the UK overall. An increase in the number of women working in the tech sector was also noted, with around 150,000 jobs created for women in UK tech over the past two years.
Hence, it was reported that the hybrid working model seems to be working well for women and that 15% of women have retrained into science, tech, and engineering careers compared to only 7% of men.
