UK intelligence agencies to make a cloud deal with Amazon

UK intelligence agencies have sealed a deal with Amazon’s cloud in order to speed up their espionage capabilities.

Indeed, the contract was signed earlier this year and is valued at around £500 million. This was led by GCHQ, which is Britain’s cybersecurity agency, and allegedly covers MI5, and MI6, as well as other government branches.

Still, it was stated that Amazon itself will not have access to the data. This is made to ensure the security of the technology within a UK facility that would be accessible only to the services concerned.
