It was recently announced that the automaker Volkswagen has chosen Microsoft’s Azure cloud service to build its automated driving platform.
Indeed, Volkswagen is seeking to develop its driver assistance features and fully-automated driving functionality for its vehicles and brands. Hence, the company decided to have all of its development efforts migrate to Microsoft Azure.
By transforming Volkswagen Group into a digital mobility provider, the company is looking to increase the efficiency, reliability, and security of its software development and simplifying its developers’ work with one scalable and data-based engineering environment. Hence, by doing so, it is aiming to accelerate the delivery of safe and comfortable mobility services.
This new collaboration will lead to more vehicles receiving regular over-the-air updates as well as enhance the company’s transformation as a software-driven mobility provider.
