Businesses are likely to continue using zero-trust strategies as well as cloud and network security exposure in 2022.
Indeed, a recent report by Forrester found out that around 66% of organisations are planning to increase their zero-trust spending, especially micro-segmentation initiatives. IT leaders stated that zero-trust was essential to fight security threats and to become better prepared for the reality of hybrid IT and the rapid pace of cloud migration.
Moreover, zero-trust provides increased organisational agility, safer cloud migration, and support for wider digital transformation. However, only 36% of leaders have already started to implement a zero-trust strategy while only 6% have achieved full implementation.
This is due to a lack of time, expertise, and skills to adopt the best practice for micro-segmentation. Yet, the need to implement zero-trust strategies has never been more vital with the rise in cyber threats.
